Names and faces

I thought I'd post a few photos to help you all match names with faces! Most of these are from last time I was here in 2007, but everyone still looks pretty much the same. :-)

This is the Slabach family that I'm staying with: Maggie, Nate, Andrea, and Chastity. They have 3 older kids not pictured here who are doing college and ministry in the States. Andrea just left for college at Indiana Wesleyan a week or two before I came here, and Chastity is my roommate. She's so much fun! Nate is in charge of pastoral care for the SI (Students International) staff in the D.R.

This is the Troyer family: Amber, Alicia, Lowell, and Cheryl. Lowell is the SI director in the D.R. (Amber is in the States in college, so she's not here).

This is Arlene Lee; she lives with Slabachs also and works in a farming community further up the mountains called Los Higos. I worked with her last time I was here as an intern.

This is Katie Lombard (with Andrea), an elementary school teacher from CA. She and I were both interns and roommates the spring of 2007, and now she is SI staff. She is one of the teachers at the elementary school in Mata Gorda.

So these are some people whose names you'll probably see alot in my blog. When I talk about new people I'll try to post pictures of them, if I have some.
